New York–based artist Veronika creates atmospheric watercolor paintings inspired by the city’s streets, architecture, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. Most begin on foot. Long walks through New York become a way of collecting moments—a building dissolving into morning haze, reflections after rain, or the rhythm of people moving through a crowded street. Her paintings are less about documenting a place than capturing the feeling of having been there.

Alongside her cityscapes, Veronika paints expressive studies of dancers and performers, exploring movement, balance, and gesture through loose, confident brushwork. Whether painting a city or a figure, she is drawn to the meeting point between intention and spontaneity, where atmosphere and gesture reveal more than detail ever could.

While extensive travel has taken her around the world, New York remains her greatest source of inspiration. She has been an artist-in-residence at Upernavik Art Museum in Greenland and the Glen Arbor Art Association at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan. Her work has been exhibited in New York City, across the United States, and online, and in 2024 her paintings were featured on LinkNYC kiosks throughout all five boroughs as part of the Art on Link initiative.
